What we'll be studying in this session: Missio Dei (Mission of God)
In order to understand what evangelism is, we must first understand why it is important in the first place, and it starts with God.
- Session 1 - Mission, Missions, and the Mission of God
The focus of this class is to bring some clarity on what the words Mission, Missional, Missions, and similar words mean when used in the context of the church, as well as define with more clarity what we mean when we say "Mission of God". - Session 2 - The God in Mission
This class focuses on the Character of God as he revealed himself in Christ and in Scriptures, and how it informs us about God's Mission. - Session 3 - The Mission of God and the Mission of the Church
This class discusses how the Mission of the church only exists as a derivation of. and in participation in the Mission of God.
What we'll be studying in this session: The Church in Mission
In this Module we will discuss the mission of the Church, and of the members of the church in light of the Mission of God.
- Session 1 - The Calling of the Church
This class discusses the calling of the Church, as presented in Scriptures. That is what are the ways in which the church participates in the Mission of God, well as is the purpose and nature of the church. - Session 2 - The Calling of the Church and Personal Calling
If the previous class was focused on the role of the church, this class will discuss how we are personally called into Mission, and how this personal calling fits within the Mission of the Church and the Mission of God. - Session 3 - The Great Commission
In light this class we will discuss the Great Commission, in light of all that was presented so far, and how it shapes both the Calling of the Church, and the Calling of every believer, as well as some practical steps of how to live it out in practice in our daily lives.
What we'll be studying in this session: Understanding the Fields
In light of our calling as Church, and as disciples, what should we be doing? This module will explore that question.
- Session 1 - What do we mean when we say…?
This class presents some definitions and clarification on words often used when discussing the Mission of the Church: Evangelism, Evangelization, Outreach, Proclamation, Witnessing, etc. The goal is to give us a common language, and practical understanding so we can discuss practical steps forward in Mission. - Session 2 - Mission as a Church
In this class we discuss how we can effectively respond to our Missional Calling as a local church, articulating the concepts from the previous class. - Session 3 - Mission as disciples
In this class we discuss how we can effectively respond to our Missional Calling as disciples, articulating the concepts from the previous classes.
What we'll be studying in this session: How to Share the Gospel? - part 1
In this Model we will equip participants with particular tools, and means to share the gospel in different environments, and in different ways.
- Session 1- Evangelism
This class presents practical, and cohesive ways to articulate the message of the Gospel for others, be them strangers, or family members both for intentional interactions and for impromptu opportunity. - Session 2 - Outreach
This class presents practical, and cohesive ways to reach other with the love of Christ be them strangers, or family members both for intentional interactions and for impromptu opportunity. - Session 3 - Witnessing
This class presents practical, and cohesive ways to witness Christ to others be them strangers, or family members both for intentional interactions and for impromptu opportunity.
What we'll be studying in this session: How to Share the Gospel? - part 2
In this Model we will equip participants with particular tools, and means to share the gospel in different environments, and in different ways.
- Session 1- Evangelization
This class presents practical, and cohesive ways to articulate the message of the Gospel for others in the context of the local church; - Session 2 - Disciple Making
This class presents practical, and cohesive ways to make disciples, or to be effective disciple makers; - Session 3 - Proclamation
This class presents practical, and cohesive ways to proclaim the Gospel, in the context of the local church, and in our daily life .
